Biography
Tom began fly-fishing around seven years ago as a way to bond with his son and enjoy the great outdoors from a fresh perspective. Over the course of his nearly 60 years, he’s been deeply connected to the water in one way or another. His experiences include competitive swimming, water polo, SCUBA diving, and fishing adventures that range from catching salmon (and whatever else happened to bite) off the Monterey coast to salmon fishing in Alaska, trout fishing in Scotland, and pursuing pike and walleye near the Arctic Circle. Tom's love for fly-fishing stems from the tranquility, solitude, and even the occasional frustration it offers. As his son humorously puts it, Tom is the only person he knows who can go on a rant when everything is going perfectly on the river. Tom resides in Highlands Ranch.
Professionally, Tom is a Solution Architect at Jacob's Engineering, where he designs and implements software solutions tailored to large construction programs. With over 35 years of experience in technical consulting, he has collaborated with domestic and international clients across a diverse range of projects. Tom is supported by his wife, who embraces his passion for fishing, and together they have a 21-year-old child. He’s thrilled to be part of Boon Fly and looks forward to joining in on adventures, charitable events, and social gatherings.
